Hello,

Just ran into a strange problem that perhaps has no solution, BUT here goes:

I have an Excel Document that I inserted (embedded) and external Word Doc. into a cell. It displays as an icon and when the user clicks on it, it opens a separate window with that Word File in it. No issues there at all. Perfect.

The problem is that even after I protect the sheet, the user can still move the icon and even delete it if he or see so chooses. NOT GOOD!!!

If I lock it,..and protect the sheet, then the icon is no longer accessible to activate...NOT GOOD

If I choose to not display it as an icon in the cell,...then the window opens from within the Excel sheet..NOT GOOD

How can I leave the icon in the cell, also keep it functional, but not allow it to be moved???

I thought perhaps of moving the icon off to the right of the spreadsheet and perhaps trying to make the cell such that when clicked, it knows to activate the hidden icon,...but perhaps this is not an intelligent approach. I wouldn't know how to do that anyway....not an Excel expert here.

Thanks,
TD
