    getpivotdata without values

    Hi,

I have a little and maybe wellknown problem retrieving data from my pivot table on which I didn't apply any output summary; My pivottable is just a column with 3 row levels (i.e. i have 3 fields dragged into the area "Row Labels").

When I use the getpivotdata function i'm getting #REF and i'm sure i'm using it correct. I want to retrieve the 3rd row level by looking up 2nd row level. Something makes me believe that getpivotdata function is not helpful for this. My pivottable is actually an SQL-query with a query-name.

    Re: getpivotdata without values

The first argument of GetPivotData field is data_field, which means a field in the Data area of the pivot table, not the row labels.... so I don't think it will work.

If you post a sample workbook showing what you are looking for, perhaps someone may have a workaround solution....

Also are you will to layout the table in the traditional tabular form (i.e. 3 separate columns for the row labels), just in case?
Where there is a will there are many ways.
