external web query? (sites that require login)

I am trying to run an external web query for a financial site. The site is www.investools.com It is a pay site, and requires login.

When I create the query and try to import its data, I get this error:

"This Web query returned no data. To modify the query, click OK, click the name of the external data range in the name box on the forumula bar, and then click Edit Query on the External Data toolbar. <OK>"

If I create the same type of query on another financial site like MSN Money, the query works fine. So I am almost certain it has something to do with Investools requiring login, or perhaps authentication of some type.

Is there a possible workaround? Or perhaps a way to store login information for querys?

Ok I am getting somewhere now! In fact I think i have it figured out as far as retrieving data from investools. Instead of just copying the table that i wanted the data from, I have to copy the entire page. No big deal there, but it does bring me to my question for you:

One thing I can not seem to discover a workaround is how you are able to define the parameter for each query to be the symbol referenced in another tab of the spreadsheet.

I see how you were able to click parameters and choose the option to reference cell b1, however I can not click parameters, the option is grey'd out.

Any idea why?
