    Compatability issues

There is something that just does not click with this problem we are having.
•An Excel 2003 form was posted on our Internet site containing macros
•For the past 1 1/2 years that were no compatability issues.
•Yesterday an Excel 2000 user said he could not open the form citing an
    error of
"the file is not in a recognised form".
Is this an Excel 2003 not compatable with Excel 2000 type error? Or does it
mean the file has become corrupted and unusable. Since this is the first time
in 18 months that a non-compatability issue has arisen; I figure it may be
the later. I am afraid saving the form down to Excal 97-Excel 2003 & 5.0/95
(*.xls) format may lose some of the macro functionality.

    Thanks

    Jack

    Another parameter:
We just moved the file from an internet site to an SAP based Portal
(Netweaver). If that would make a difference since the problem seemed to
    arise after the move.
    Thanks
