    no grid lines when colouring in a cell

    what do I have to do to get the gridlines displayed and printed in cells that
    have been coloured in?

    the colour will take precedence over the grid BUT if you format the cells with borders then the borders will print - and look just like gridlines !

    Right click on the cell then > FormatCells > BorderTab > select a line style,
    and the Preset Square Outline > ok
