    Phantom Decimals

Here is what I have going on. I have a very basic Excel sheet the only formula on the page is a =SUM, here is what the sheet is showing:

    (364,900.00)
    (10,000.00)
    -
    347,807.14
    -
    3,749.00
    303.85
    -

    18,596.00
    412.50
    2,539.51
    1,492.00
    -
    -
    -
    -
    0.00

It totals out right, but since I do accounting and my boss is ****, she noticed that the sum was showing up as 0.00. She started poking around with it and blew the decimal place way out and found this:

    (364,900.000000000000000000000)
    (10,000.000000000000000000000)
    -
    347,807.140000000000000000000
    -
    3,749.000000000000000000000
    303.850000000000000000000
    -

    18,596.000000000000000000000
    412.500000000000000000000
    2,539.510000000000000000000
    1,492.000000000000000000000
    -
    -
    -
    -
    0.000000000012732925825

Can some one please let me know where these numbers are coming from in the total? All the numbers are hard coded and there are no other formulas on the sheet.

On any cell > Right Click> Format Cell > Number (TAB)> Category (Number)> Select Decimal Places to 0 (Zero)

My bet is that you brought text or something similar into your spreadsheet and the sum on the source document showed as 1.2732925825E-11.
