Bolding part of text in a cell when...

I'd like to bold part of a cell that contains both a cell reference and additional text. For example, the cell contains

    A6&"blah blah text"

I'd like to highlight just the result of the cell reference A6, which is an integer. Does anyone know how to do this?

    Thanks,
    Kate

is this: A6&"blah blah text" a formula? or is in a cell formatted as TEXT or general?
If it is text or general:

Click on the cell then in the bar at the top that shows what is in the
    cell
highlight with mouse the 3 part of the text you want to change then
Rightclick ( where the text is highlighted)and choose bold.

Be sure to either double-click in the cell or single-click in the formula bar
and then select the part of the text to be re-formatted.

Right now, it is a formula. How can I format this as text, since the first part is a cell reference?

    Thanks,

I believe that only if you have static text can you 'bold' a portion of that text, the 'bold' characterstic applies to the final display which is not known where a formula is used.

You may find some addin that will perform this, but all users of the workbook would then need to use the addin.
