Question Conditional Formatting Color Empty Cells in a Colum

    Please help...

Column C contains text. I would like any cell that is empty, to change to red.

can this be done with conditional formating?

    Yes

in conditional formatting choose formula is

Select c1:c:65536 and put one of the following formula

    =isblank(c1)

    =not(istext(c1))

    =c1=""

And choose the formating to red

Yes it can! You'd be surprised how easy it is.

Simply select the cells you want to change color if they are blank.
Go to Format -> Conditional Formatting.

Set up the window like you see in the attached picture. Its a poor quality picture I'm sorry I use Win 2k!

Click OK and you should be good!
