    Why oh Why...

does one particular spreadsheet open minimised and accompanied by a new spreadsheet 'Book1.xls'? This only happens when opening from Excel and does not happen if I 'double-click' on the file in Windows Explorer.

If you press Alt/F11 you display the Visual Basic window, in that should be a Project window (or select View, Project Explorer). In the Project window is each open book and each Sheet within that book.

Select (double-click) each sheet in turn and see if any code is present.

Note especially if a Personal.xls is present.

Is there any code in any sheet (especially Workbook) ?

ps, Look - but don't touch (yet)

I have VBA Project (Book 1) and VBA Project (My Worksheet).

I need to delete Book 1.

I don't use VBA and there is no code that I can see.

    Thanks in advance.

For this Worksheet, it is sufficient that there is no code shown there. Do you have a Book1 open?
