filter on coloured cells

Hi

I would like to filter on data in a column based on the colour in the cell. i.e.
100 items in the column and 10 are highlighted yellow. I would like to be able to filter so that I can select the yellow cells. Can anyone help ?

Its not possible, because excel never read color.

what determins the color of the cells, could this not be used for your filter
