Right Justified

    Question Right Justified

    My question is this, is there away in a spreadsheet when converting it to text to be able to keep a column of numbers formated right justified???

    select the column and click the Align Right icon (next to the B=Bold, I+Italic U=Underline)

    Yes but once you do save as and change the type of file to text, the format of right justified does not remain.

    True, but Excel has no control over what happens to or within .txt files. On import of a .txt file, if the data appears to be text then it is treated as such.

    To import data and right-align some columns and/or cells you would need either a macro to do the settings, or a little VB code.
