Text and a formula in same cell

Can you put text and a formula in same cell? If so how?

can you explain why you'd want to do this?
there may be another method to accomplish what you're trying to do, as you cannot have text and a formula in the same cell
you can attach text to a formula
i.e. your formula spits out the answer 5 and you can make the cell read "The answer is 5" using concatenation

Wink This was driving me nuts

I was trying to do this using the the TEXT function, which generated a too many arguments error.

Here is the cell contents that I am using.

    =((Age + 16)/4)&" Fr."

I find that having to do this often is a result of trying to automate a paper form that must print out nearly the same contents as if done by hand. The particular form that this came from has a column where the results are computed, however the value may be in mg, cc, cm. As much reworking as I could do with a section header did not resolve this problem. This happens to compute the size of a endotracheal tube.

Hope this was what you were looking for.
