    auto complete for dropdown lists

I have a locked form with multiple lengthy dropdown menus. Currently, the user must scroll down the entire list to find the desired item. Is there any way to have the user enter the first few characters of the item and have the menu start at that point or do auto complete?

    Hi,

    Try this from Debra Dalgleish

If you use a combo box from the control toolbox, you can set its
    autocomplete property to true:
On the control toolbox, click the Design Mode button
    Select the combo box
On the control toolbox, click the Properties button
Set the MatchEntry property to: fmMatchEntryComplete

If the dropdown is from data validation, it doesn't support
autocomplete. However, there's a sample file here that provides a
combobox from which you can select one of the values from the data
validation list. In the combobox, you can enable autocomplete:

Under 'Data Validation', look for 'Data Validation Combobox'

No, I'm not using comboboxes. I am using Data validation with lists.

    As Debra says

If the dropdown is from data validation, it doesn't support
    autocomplete

    however

If you use a combo box from the control toolbox, you can set its
    autocomplete property to true

    Do you get the picture
