I put a link in a cell of a worksheet to a pdf file in a subdirectory. When I click on the link, the file opens but dissapears immediately. What is happening to prevent the file from opening?

What version of system, Excel and Adobe are you running?

Web links and links to Word documents seem to work fine. Yes, only the pdf files seem to be broken. This system is running Windows 2000 professional, Excel 2000 (9.0.7616), and Adobe 7.0.

As I recall, Adobe 7 is not compatible with 2000
