    Question Help with invoices

    Hi
I’m doing invoices and I was wondering if any one can help me, on how I can change the number of the invoice every time I open it.
I’m pretty rusty with excel so I will need step by step instructions, eg: #0001,#0002,#0003.

    Hi,

there are several methods, one is a button (see attached), another is to have the Invoice Sheet trigger a +1 each time you open it, or each time you double-click a cell, etc.

    Any preferences?

You're asking for 'more details' but on what?

Have you decided on how you would like to cause the increment?

ie, Excel does not do this natually, it requires some VB code or a manual entry,

The 'trigger' to increase the number can be a button (as was shown in the file) or some other trigger.

What would you like to be the cause of the increase in the number?

Which cell should the number occupy?

More help would need more details of which way you are thinking of going.
