Question Conditional formatting for the greater of 7 cells

    Hi,

I have a column of 7 cells, which return a value which will be between 0 and 400, but the cells themselves are formulae (e.g. G13 "=(C13*C$12)+(D13*D$12)+(E13*E$12)+(F13*F$12)").

I would like to conditionally format the column so that all cells in the column remain one colour (I happen to be using gold), but that whichever cell returns the greatest value of the 7 is formatted green.

Is this possible, or am I going to have to do it manually?

    Many thanks!

    Not sure this works..

    Hi,
Thanks very much for your reply. I tried this, and it does not work. Could this be because the actual value of the cells is a formula which returns a number, not a number itself? (i.e. "=(C13*C$12)+(D13*D$12)+(E13*E$12)+(F13*F$12)")
    Thanks!

Conditional formatting is based on the value of a cell, whether that value is generated by a formula or not is not relevant.

Which is your range of 7 cells? Do you only have one range or the same thing in multiple columns?
