    Excel vs Access with database

    Hello,

I'm building an excel application that will consist of at least 30 tabs. I need to perform a lot of importing from an oracle databse. I'm very familiar with access so I'm planning to write many access queries and then write an excel macro for example to get the data. However my boss is convinced that writing the sql queries inside the excel vba code will do the job faster. I don't want to do that! Can anyone tell me which way will be faster? Any article on that. I could not find any! Also your advise will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Have you considered using business objects software to extract your data queries instead from Oracle?
