    Automating an MS Access to Excel query

    Hi,

    I'm trying to create an excel file that can take two values in the worksheet (UK postcodes) and automatically return the journey time (the data is all stored in an access database as there are over 6 million potential values). Is this even possible and how would I go about doing this??

    Hi Ross,

    Though you can import data into Excel from an external source via the Import External Data option from Excel's Data menu, I can envisage problems with this amount of data.

    I'd say the best way would be to create a new query on the existing database.
