    Linking font colour between cells

    Hi,

By default, Excel doesn't seem to link the font colour (or any format) between cells. For example, if I have a bold, green 'YES' in cell A1, and I link B2 to A1, I just receive an unformated 'yes' in black with regular text.

Is there any way to set references/links to pick up exactly whats in the original cell?

Your help will make my Friday!! Thanks

    Melvin

    Hi
with formulas formatting cannot be fetched.
however you can use formate painter to copy and paste formatting of cells when required.

Hello and thanks for responding.. does anyone out there have a link / VBA txt to a user defined function (custom function) that will help me in this case? Having trouble sourcing one in the vast expanse of Google.

    Kind regards,
