Time limit access to workbooks (Excel 2003)

I have a spreadsheet which I need to give access to others. I want this workbook to be used for a specific period, say 6-12 months only. Then I don't want anyone to be able to open or edit this workbook.
Is this possible using visual basic, code, if so, does anyone know where I can get some information on how to do this. I know about macros but anyone can change the date on their computer, not really powerful.

    Hi,

why would they change the date? - it's so much easier to set Excel to NOT run macros.

Perhaps a date test and overwrite the file with a blank-single-sheet file, and hope the user doesn't keep backups, but you really can't stop a user from Copying a sheet to a new book.

    Good luck in your search.

Please always attach the sample workbook without sensitive information when asking for help

    To add a module
Press Alt + F11 (this is the Visual Basic Environment)
    Insert Menu, select Module
    Past code there
    Close Visual Basic Environment (X)
