pivot table. why does the formatting change on update

When I update the pivot table with new data, the column where I have some percentage numbers the formatting changes. One number goes back to standard. The new numbers that enter the column also enters as standard numbers. How do I get the column to stay in percentage numbers?

thx. There are still a couple of cells acting weird though. Some cells are
-100% and some of these, when updating the pivot table, turns into -1. Any suggestions?

It is the same problem as in the beginning of the thread. I have done what you said and the formatting stays the same for almost all of the cells in the pivot table. But for a 2 of them in a column that has percentage numbers the -100% changes to -1 when the pivot table is updated. Seems weird that it is only these 2 numbers. There are other -100% in the column but the format doesn't change is these cells.

I tried to copy part of it to another file, because I do not want to upload the whole thing. In the other file, of course the problem doesn't occur. So I will see if I can't get it to work. Or else I will just live with it.

Now I actually got it to create the problem.
When something is updated in the first table and you then update the pivot table then the format in the ROI column changes. But it happens to the rows where you make a change.

    Hi,

Guess one with is to use a change event macro. Right click the sheet name and select view code. Paste in the below and close....change column to your column
