    Pivot table Clear Old Items

    Good morning all

I have an annoying issue to sort out. I created a pivot table based upon a Telephone list and after testing this all was working OK. Some data was enetred in correctly and is now causing an issue.

    Here is the scenario
Person A is entred on the phone list with the surname of "Smith" which is all OK.
Person B is entred on the phone list also with the surname of smith but entred as " smith".
This creates the issue of the name smith with a space appreas at the top of the list so I have to select both "Smith" and " Smith" to show all smiths. I tried to refesh the data to update the drop down lists on the field but it reamins there.

How can I get the pivot table to update now the data has been corrected?

    Regards

    Jon

    Hi,

To manually clear the old items from the list:

    1. Drag the pivot field out of the pivot table
    2. On the Pivot toolbar, click the Refresh button
    3. Drag the pivot field back to the pivot table
