sumproduct?

I have a data page with sales divisions as column headers B to Z
Rows A2 to 2000 are types of sale with values across the columns.
I want to sum the various sale types per division.

Do I need sumproduct?

Please help?

It sounds like sumproduct will work. This will sum all of the product "product1" for the first division:

=SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A2000="product1")*(B1:B2000))
