I have been following your other thread, and decided to respond in here. I think the problem with your request is that the setup you need requires a number of complex formulas. I did a quick search around the web and found a sample file that does what you need to do. Maybe if you poke around this file you will get ideas for yourself.
Taken from this link: http://www.contextures.com/excelfiles.html#DataVal
Here is the file: http://www.contextures.com/DataValHiddenDepend.zip
Thank you , its great and give helped me in some other things BUT i can't get an idea from it about this sheetOriginally Posted by BigBas
Hi there..
You can select the list,
and then name it,
easiest way to explain with little typing
goto your list sheet
At the top menu select insert, name, define
type a one word name in the name box
hit the square icon in the refers to box and highlight the range
then say ok
that list range is now named go to the other sheet and select the cell you want data validation
goto data,validation,list
in the source box enter
=ListName
ListName being whatever you had named that range
then click ok
should be done
i don't think u opened my file ..plz take a look at it and u will understand what i meanOriginally Posted by davesexcel

I believe you want
Excel -- Data Validation -- Dependent Dropdowns from a Sorted List
go here to learn how to do that
http://www.contextures.com/xlDataVal13.html
be sure to down load the example workbook to see how it works
Daves:
He not only wants Drop-Downs through data validation, but he also whats any selection that has been chosen already to no longer be one of the choices.
Debra has that covered to
Data Validation -- Hide Previously Used Items in Dropdown
VBA Noob

and when the names in the first project 1 finished i go to the COL A and choose the Project2 or whatever , then i go again to the COL.B and start choose the Project2 emplo's
