How to separate a List???

I downloaded a list from the internet now i plan to take it into word as a mail merge and send out letter, but i have to separate salutation, first name, last name, and title. Can i do that in excel or is there another program that can help me. I'm NO expert so PLEASE help. it's over 1,000 contacts and i would have to do all that one by one manually.

Could you provide an example of the data (list) as it's hard to provide a solution without seeing it.

Try looking at "Text to columns", this allows you to separate out the data depending on whether there is a space or a comma between Title, firstname, lastname

Select column of data

Data > text to columns > set delimiter as required

Column A Column B
Air Products N.V. Ms. Marleen Picalausa, Manager

As you can see i have the entire contact information on column B and i need to make that into four different columns. Let say column Bwith Salutation (Ms.) Column C with First name (Marleen), Column C with Last Name (Picalausa) and column D with Title (Manager).

I have to do this for over 1,000 Contacts in order to put them into a mail merge with Word and i would HATE to do it all one by one.
