    Excel pick lists

    Hi i was wondering if it was possible to have a picklist that i can pick mulitple items from?

    If this is possible could someone explain how it can be done. thanks so much!

    The easiest way is to use a Pivot Table (and, perhaps, hide the columns containing the Pivot Table results).

    The only other way is to use a ListBox (you create these using the Controls Toolbox toolbar) and set the Properties to multi-select.

    you can also use data validation for this purpose.

    i am already using a validation pick list to show the values i have, i want to be able to pick more than one of these values to display in the cell.

    Is that possible from the ways you have posted, as i cant seem to get it to work.

    The list box looks like it may be able to do what i need but it opens up in VB and i dont know any, are there any examples of that around?

    I assumed you were using a Validation List (thanks for confirming).

    The reason I suggested a Pivot Table is to avoid VB coding.

    There is generally not very much you can do with a ListBox without using VB.

    Sorry ... those are the only ideas I have at the moment.
