looking up and summing from a table with conditions

OK, so I have a large table of numbers and text, including formulas. I want to be able to find a formula that looks in the table for all of the entries that have Category X, and return the sum of their corresponding numbers.

I've attached an example file of what I mean.

(I'm new to this forum, go easy on me if I did something wrong!)
