row header from active cell

on sheet 'plana' in cells c4,d4...........m4, I have dates, in cells b5,b6.......b50, I have numbers with which I an using an index/match formula to get data from sheet 'datain'. What I would like to do is click on any cell in grid plana!c5:m50 to put the active cell column header date in plana!c2 and the same active cell row header number in plana!d2 so that I can use them in a further lookup. Any help, please.

Hi, Scrungie. Right-click on the sheet tab 'plana' and select view code. Copy the following event procedure:

This assumes that the row headers are in column B. If they are not, then change the column numer 2 to the applicable column.
