New to this forum, so hope someone can help
I have downloaded the excel app onto my iPad Air & all was fine with the documents I created until a few weeks ago the document names changed (once document amended) to include the phrase "%20" between each word I had typed in as the document name
eg; Ians%20marathon%20times
The content of the documents created was not affected

Those represent spaces. Did you by chance save your document via the web?
I don't know what you mean by "did I save my documents via the web"?
I know that my excel spreadsheets are linked to "one drive" if that means anything?
%20 is a space
so if you had spaces in the name then its just correcting to handle the space
