I have been using excel for a while and know my way around quite well but I have found a problem that I can not seem to fix easily and was hoping that someone out there may know of a simple string or symbol or something to fix my problem.

When creating links to other documents (excel word txt) on a network I use the physical path i.e. \\nsfile01\common\excel\book1.xls and so on all over the network but when I click save it changes the links to relative links in relation to where the file is saved to. This becomes a problem when showing people the spreadsheet when they do not have the same access or mapped drives. Is there a way or a tick box to keep the physical address of the link instead of the relative?

Thanks
