How to delete rows that include blank/null cells

    Dear All,

    I have the following problem.

I use a worksheet that contained about 30-40.000 rows of data. After some sorting, editing and general processing I am left with about 3.000 rows of data. The rest of the worksheet "appears" blank, although I suspect that from row 3000 to almost the end there must be some "null" cells in the rows.

The problem I face is that whenever I press control+shift+end to go to the end of my worksheet, instead of landing in row no.3000 where my data finish, I land in the middle of nowhere somewhere around row 30.000+. I tried Deleting, clearing all formats and all sorts of combinations of delete/clear in the rows that appear blank but the problem persists.

Is there a way that I can permanently delete these rows so I dont have the problem when I want to jump to the end of my worksheet?

Please do not suggest hiding rows as this is not what I am looking for.

Thank you all for your answers in advance.

    select cell A30001
press Ctrl+Down arrow (it will select all rows downwards)
right click on selection and click Delete...
select Entire row and hit Ok.

    same procedure to delete columns.
go to the right most column which you use and select any cell in column next to it.
    press Ctrl+Right arrow
right click > Delete and select Entire Column and hit Ok.

    now try Ctrl+End

Thank you for your reply but the procedure you mentioned does not work.

If I select a cell and press control->down it just lands me to the final cell (65535). If I select the row and press control->down I get the same thing. I tried right click->delete entire row as you said in both cases but no result.

    Did I misunderstand something?

Apparently nothing seems to be happened but above procedure will delete all rows down from 30001 to 65535 and all columns to the right side of used column.
And when you press Ctrl+End it will take you to the end of your data not apart from it.

    It does work!

Thank you very much, you have been very helpful.

It was my mistake that I did not realise that AFTER I had done what you suggested, I should close the file and reopen it (then is when the effects take place).

Everything works fine now! Thank you!
