Formula - Two ("text") column array formula

    I need a formula...

I would like to reference text from an ever-changing "Master" database in order to concurrently update a "Housing" form.

My "Housing" form contains a constant list of Rooms ("Room_No") with corresponding cells listing current occupants ("Last_First").

The "Master" database has two, side-by-side, equal length column lists containing text with the named ranges of "Room_No" and "Last_First".

I would like to search "Room_No" to locate specific text (ex. "A_1").
If located, return the corresponding occupant text from "Last_First".
If "A_1" is not located, leave the corresponding occupant cell of "Last_First" blank.

    Any questions/suggestions?

To me, it seems simple but my simple mind finds it difficult...

Formula - Two ("text") column array formula

I tried the suggestion from "duane" (thanks very much) but still had no success...

Attached are some rudimentary examples of the worksheets...

    What is wrong with this...?

    Thanks

itlooks like an ordinary vlookup formula will do the trick to me as long as you apply the function over a sufficient row range to ensure you cover the 2 columns in question
