Original Source of Pivot Table Data

    Hello all,

I have a large collection of pivot tables created some time ago and undocumented/unreferenced. Does anyone know if there is any way to find out what the data source for an already created Pivot Table is? I've been fiddling around with options and properties, right-clicking, even went into help and searched on the web, but no luck so far.

    Thank you in advance!

    Alex

    Hi,

If you right click the pivot table, go to "wizard", and then press "back" it will show you the source data
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1

Right-click your PT, select PT wizard and click the " Back" button. You will then be able to see the data source

    Cheers
