Hey Guys and Gals

I need to create a fairly simple workshop schedule/upcoming job list but i need a special feature and i'll be stuffed if i can find the method on excel(or google) for enabling them.
Basically, i need to have an order of scheduled workshop jobs (eg. jobs 1 to 10 ) that if job 3 gets completed before 1 and 2 then i can delete job 3 from the list and then jobs 4 thru to 10 automatically get renumbered as jobs 3 thru to 9.
At the moment i have to cut the row and paste the remaining rows over. Is this possible in excel?
