    Unable to Open book

'm not sure if this is the correct forum so forgive if not.

An Excel book on my computer has been modified by another user (not sure what, which is the problem).

When we go to open the book, we are prompted to enter our passwords as normal, them the book begins to load.

It then simply closed the book back to the desktop and we can't find any way to access it.

    Help!!

    Thanks

    Hi,

did the person that setup the password security also setup a secure password to bypass the macros?

not as far as I know. It was just a simple password put on in the folder/file option. There isnt any Macro's that I know of on the book.

    Hi,

if the file is in a file/password area, can you copy the file to a folder on your harddrive? Does the file open from your harddrive?
