    Date and Text combining

    Can anyone help please?

I have one column which contains dates in UK dd/mm/yyyy format, and another column with ID codes e.g _BE; _XP; _BC etc.

I want to end up with e.g 19062007_BE

    Thank you,

    Ian

If your date is in A1 and code is in B1, then try:

    =TEXT(A1,"DDMMYYYY")&B1
Where there is a will there are many ways.
