absolute cell reference in R1C1 reference style

I am using the R1C1 reference style (as opposed to A1, B5 etc) in my worksheets and would like to insert absolute cell references in my formulas. The $ sign does not seem to work though. Does anybody know the "secrete code"?

    Thank you!
