How do I make Excel search the whole workbook???

Ok this for some reason is really really hard for me to find so I am bringing it here.

My workbook has multiple tabs...I need a formula to search ALL the tabs or the entire workbook...instead of me going through each tab.

And I am not a computer person, so please if you do know can you tell me step by step of how to do this?

    Help!

    Thanks

Hi - This might work for you:

    1. Right mouse on any TAB
    2. SELECT ALL SHEETS
    3. Issue FIND command

Ok...I could select all the tabs...but how to I go about using this for the FIND function? Step by step would really help my fried nerves...not sure how much more I can take

Pardon my inexperience...as this thing was thrown at me to do.

VBA Noob- I need a permnant formula. I am not trying to search the document to find one item. I need something can I can copy and paste for multiple uses.

Here is what I need it to do exactly- I need to have a formula that I can add in a product number into the 'find' part and have it search the entire workbook instead of just a sheet. I have no idea how to do this...and I am getting more and more frustrated.

Oh and I really dislike this new Excel

What you have to remember is that we don't have your problem in front of us and we don't, in general, do mind reading.

So. take a deep breath, and describe what you have and what you want to achieve - break it down into little steps. Once it is clearly defined you will find that a) you understand the problem better and b) the people you are asking to help you have a chance of doing that.

If you can attach a zip file of your sheet that will help.
