    Date Cell

    Hey Guys,

Bit of a difficult question, which im assuming may need the help of a Macro.

Basically I have a Spreadsheet which contains hundreds of rows,
Im wanting to create a single Cell for each of those rows, which would originally be blank.
But, if any of the data is changed on a row, that specific cell for that row will change to the Date of Change (Current date) and then in the future, if the same cell is changed, to update to the new date.
Im also needing it to be able to work if new rows are added.

Difficult one I know, but hopefully someone can think of something

Some of the values will be Figures (Numbers), where others will be simple "Y"s

    Thanks all!

    Blink aka Matt

Thanks for the great help mate, Just quickly,
Ive used the code in my Spreadsheet, but am having errors, to change the Cell where the date would be entered, I would assume to just change the G:G to I:I for example, but this does not seem to be working.
For the code to work is there anything I have to do? For example add a date anywhere on the page etc?
Apologies as im new to coding.
    Thanks once again

The code only works when it is installed into the code page for the Sheet that is to be updated . It won't work if installed into a general Module code page. Look again at the attached workbook above.

If problems remain, upload your workbook or an example for me to look at.
