Total Hours Between 2 Time Stamps.

Hi All,


I work as payroll executive & I received punches in following manner.
I need formula to quicky give me total hours in E1 Row.

Example :-

A1 B1 C1 D1 E1
In Out In Out Total Hours.
(9:00Am 12:00pm) (3:00pm 6:00pm) 6

Hi ,

I get punches in 12 hours clock format


ie till 12:00 Am/Pm

As long as the times are in a recognisable time format it doesn't matter what format that is. Here's a way to do this that will even accommodate shifts which go into the next day

=(MOD(B1-A1,1)+MOD(D1-C1,1))*24

format E1 as number
