Need Excel spreadsheet, Engineering BOM

Hi,
Is anybody familiar with Engnieering Bill-of-Material or Parts List structure?
Basically, it is a parts list tree showing how an assembly is made. It is similar to folders and directories in Windows.

I'm looking an excel template that I could use to make parts list.
Any input?

Hello NYBoy,

You should check with the front office or the accounting department. Most accounting programs have templates that are compatible with Excel spreadsheets. Since templates only provide a general outline, anything you get from the web will have to be modified to fit your specific needs. This can waste a lot of time and resources. Common accounting software like Quickbooks or Peachtree have this capability. Check into it.

I know in Excel we can group rows but not more than 5 levels. Is there a way to make more than 5 levles of grouping?
