    Rate charge calc

    Hi,

I'm trying to create a worksheet to calculate an electric rate charge based on percent of use. I tried to use comparisons inside of an IF() but it's not working out. Thanks for any suggestions. Spreadsheet is attached.

    I don't understand your sheet...

Can you explain how you want it to work?

Sorry, Added corrected attachment. For example on cell I14 if F13 is between 101% to 130% of base rate C1 then you multiply the amount above 101% by rate charge in D2. Etc. Thanks, Dan

    I am still confused....

Are you looking for 1 result?

What is wrong with your own solution?

I think you need to elaborate... with the values you've given in F13 and C1, what should the actual final result be and why?

Tough to explain - don't know if it's do-able. The sum of I13-I17 should be equal to 88.94, but it's not. For example H17 result should not have a value because it is not between 301% to 400% of C1. H17 should be zero. I guess my logic is wrong. There is probably an easier way to do this.
    Thanks, Dan

Maybe you can repost your sample replacing the calculated results with what the actual results should be in all cells.
