Import 50-100 xml files from multiple folders

into one worksheet Microsoft's how-to section has limited help in how to write macros so I was wondering if there might be another way to do this.

I've been able to select multiple files from one folder and import in one worksheet. I also tried doing a search for all of the files in the subdirectories of the primary folder and tried highlighting the search results and dragging and dropping into excel but a new worksheet would open for each xml file.

I did a search in here and didn't see another situation like this in here. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Update: I didn't do anything useful with macros but did find this program: Digital Filename Editor.

This program allows you to rename a batch of files with one click. The renaming options are limited but in my case, I just needed to rename them so that they were different (they previously had the same exact name so I couldn't move them into one folder). This enabled me to search all of the files with Windows Explorer and then drag the files into one folder to import into Excel.

    The program works pretty well.
