    Unique Values List

    Hi Experts,

How would you go about creating a list of unique users for a validation drop down using an excel formula.

The list of names that would populate the validation list would be.

    Adam
    Mike
    Mike
    Susie
    Lauren
    Ava
    Adam
    Adam

    A thought

If you're making a list of unique names, what would differentiate the first Mike from the second Mike and the first Adam from the second Adam? The second listing of both names is not unique; thus selection of the second occurance of either is virtually impossible. Could you expand a bit more on what you want?

    Thanks Dean

The names would be duplicates so I want the list to be unique...i.e. only one Mike in the validation drop down...only one Adam...and so forth.

    If you go here.

There is information for making both kinds of validation lists for the forms Toolbox and the Control toolbox. If you still have questions, come on back and ask away.
