Sheet2 does not match sheet1 when using =sheet1=a1 after insert row

    Hello,
Ive searched the forum but was not able to find what I needed. Please can you help with the following.

I have two sheets. Sheet1 and Sheet2. In sheet to A1 i put =sheet1!A1 so the value for sheet1 a1 is put in sheet 2.

I then did the same for the columns going down in sheet2 i.e -sheet1!A2 etc

So far so good. But if I insert a row at a2 in sheet1 the changes are not reflected in sheet2.

How can I go about this? Please help.
    Thanks
    Bin

    Good morning b11nnl

    ...and welcome to the forum!!

Set the whole thing up as an array formula.
    In Sheet2 select (say) A1:A50
    Press =
Go to Sheet1 and select A1:A50
Press Alt + Ctrl + Enter

Now, whenever anything is entered in the range A1:A50 on Sheet1, this will be relicated in Sheet2. If a row is inserted in Sheet1, everything will be bumped down a row in Sheet2 and any entry in the new row replicated.

    Test

    Hi Dom,

Many thanks for your quick response. These seems like the ideal solution thank you. However Ive tried this and cant get it to work for some reason.

The alt + ctrl + enter doesnt seem to be do anything to sheet one. Am doing something wrong. Would you be able send a sample xls with this example.

Sorry to be of hassle but your method will save me soo much time as i currently do the process manually.

    Thanks you

    Hi b11nnl

Ever have one of those situations where your mind thinks one thing, and your fingers type anything they like ... ?

Well, I've just had one of those.
Of course it should be Shift + Ctrl + Enter.

    Apologies.
