    Print/show gridlines over filled cells

I have a series of cells that are filled with a color. I have the Print Gridlines checked on the File > Page Setup option.

When I view the Excel file and print the gridlines do not print over the fill. Is there a way to change this?

I do not want to draw borders if I can avoid it.

The Print Gridlines option in Page Setup refers to the default gridlines that are normally visible on an Excel spreadsheet, not to actual cell borders.

If you want to see "gridlines" in relation to filled cells, you must use actual borders.
