Link Chart Text to Sheets?

Is there a way to edit text in a chart and link it to a value in a separate sheet? (without it being a value in the actual chart...) AND keep a line of text in the same box?

I have a chart, simple... 3 rows, 2 columns. But I need to edit an average in the chart each day, so I just manually divide and throw them on top of the chart in a text field. It changes daily, so I'm looking for a way to do this so it cuts back on some time. I can't figure out a clean way to put this information in the graph with the source data (it makes a graph out of the averages... I don't want that. Just the numbers on top of the existing graph).
