This workbook contains links to other data sources.

- If you update the links, Excel will attempt to retrieve the latest data.
- If you don't update the links, Excel will use the previous information.

Note that data links can be used to access and share confidential information without your permission and possibly perform other harmful actions. Do no update the links if you do not trust the source of the workbook.
I have a list of providers in Excel. I created this list to ensure that all tabs are assigned the same provider. THis way also, i can change numerous worksheets all at once instead of individually by haveing them link to another workbook which is much easier to change. However, the links don't update when i press update. The ones that existed when i first created the workbook WORKED AT THE TIME--they WILL NOT change now however. But the ones created after the workbook DO NOT UPDATE at all! When i add a new name to the list (or change a previous name), a zero continues to display (or the previous name displays) within the worksheet of the main workbook. It does not update with the new information. It is as if the "Provider List.xls" doesn't exist.

STRUCTURE

The main workbooks are labelled by month all within a folder. The "Provider List.xls" is located outside those folders where all the different folders can access it and update the information in the original workbooks. But even though they are linked, no updates occur.
