Problem sizing and formatting cells with xl 2003

    Hi there,

I have recently been using Excel a lot to design various things at my new job, although i have not given the impression that i can i have been given all the dsign jobs (at a mortgage packaging firm.)

I do have a little more knowledge of computers then average but not much and i would like to thank this site for pretty much teaching me the entire concept of VBA and am now doing a hell of a lot of it and enjoying it.

    Thanks

My most recent project is a 'generic application form' so all of our lenders will accept one form instead of having to fill out a seperate type of application form for every different client.

I based it on one that has already been accepted by the FSA so we wont have any problems there but unfortunately because of the size of the forms and the fact that every page is in a completely different form of cell heights and widths i have had to spread the document over about 8 different documents but now that i am turning it into an online form i need it to be one.

I thought of changing it to Pdf which i did making it (after a lot of formatting) one document but of course it is uneditable.

I need it so i can email it to brokers, they can fill it in and with the VBA buttons on it they can email it straight back, but i cant email the brokers 9 different documents.

I have put in a picture as an example as i am awful at explaining myself.

I dont know if this makes any sense as i feel that i have babbled on but would appreciate it a lot if someone could please help me.

    Many thanks
    Phil

I am not sure what your problem is,
but if it is just setting column widths then select a cell in the relevent column
Select Format on the toolbar then Column from the drop-down list, then width and enter an appropriate value.

That seems too easy so there must be more to your problem.
Lets assume that what you actually want is cells of different sizes within a column.
This is not actually possible, but you can get the same effect by merging adjacent cells.
Select the group of cells to be merged, click the right mouse button, select Format Cells...
click the alignment tab of the resulting window and tick the Merge cells box.

If what you realy realy want is something else then try to be a little bit more succinct in you query.

    Mark.
