    Excel Format

    Dear all,

I have a problem with format

In cell A1, I enter 'Happy birthday' I can see it.
    In cell A2, I enter 13000000 I only #####.

I want to keep the with of this cell unchanged because if I change the width of this cell the other part of whole form is affected.

Could any one help me how to format A2 to see the whole number or what I enter. See the attchment

    Thanks,

    Nam

    You can't.
If a value is too long for a cell, then the "####" are shown to make it obvious that the whole value can not be shown. Can you imagine the mistakes that would be made if people thought a cell said £1,000 when it really said £1,000,000,000 and it just happened that the cell wasn't wide enough?

Edit : Unless you want to prefix the number with a ' and turn it into text - you just won't be able to do any calculations with it.
